What
Connections Does

• Connects the sermon, small group study, and personal devotions for maximum impact
• Emphasizes the importance of both biblical community and individual connection with God
• Encourages a deeper examination and further application of God’s Word

• Cultivates authentic spiritual growth and transformation
• Strengthens existing small groups and further equips current small group leaders
• Enhances the development of new small groups and new small group leaders
• Allows flexibility for small groups to incorporate other facets of small groups such as care, fellowship, worship, service, outreach, or missions as a desired by each individual church

How
Connections Works

Connections provides small group study guides that focus on topical themes or books of the Bible with commentary and carefully constructed questions that facilitate in-depth reflection on the scriptures.
• The pastor chooses Connections material and prepares the sermon series “in conversation” with the commentary and study questions. (The breadth of coverage in the Connections handout allows the pastor creative freedom in developing and delivering the sermon.)
• A majority of existing small groups agree to use Connections.
• New small groups are created for the purpose of using Connections.
• Small group leaders receive specially designed training for the Connections series.
• Members receive a Connections study guide each Sunday as they leave church.
• Personal study questions are provided daily devotionals.
• Discussion questions are used by small groups.
